The Whiskey Room

 

 

The whiskey room is the private room available upon request at The Crown. The space has been designed to be flexible to all your needs. The room is available from 9am – 12am 7 days a week. Breakfast meetings, business lunches and informal evening gatherings are all suitable for this versatile area.

 

To help with the versatility the room is equipped with WI-FI Internet access, personal sound system & 42inch plasma screen for the viewing of sporting events (subject to availability) and the showing of PowerPoint presentations etc. The room is also serviced by its own bar & kitchen. The bar is a fantastic feature within its own right with over 140 single malts available by the dram. Every distillery is represented from the highlands to the lowlands and the Islas to the speyside. Draught beers and a selection of ice-cold bottles are on hand along with fresh tea & coffee making facilities.

 

The kitchen can cater for 5 – 50 people for canapés or 25 seated for A la Carte. We can design menus bespoke to suit your requirements or you can choose from our extensive range of set menus.

 

If you are looking for some form of entertainment while hosting a party then look no further. We can transform The Crown into Monte Carlo with a giant Scalextic track, Las Vegas with blackjack, roulette and poker or a day at the races complete with your very own bookie. Whatever theme you desire from starts in their eyes to James Bond we will do our best to help.

 

Quizzes are a speciality. For numbers up to 30 we will arrange the questions, supply the papers, markers and the prizes; all you have to do is engage the brain.

 

And finally why not take advantage of the whiskey room heritage and organise a tasting. For both whiskey and wine we can offer formal or informal tasting to suit all levels of knowledge. Start with the basics and progress upwards until you know all there is to know about the water of life.  Call my bluff tasting are very popular where we provide two “experts” to guide you though 6 choices. One will be telling the truth and the other will be talking nonsense, your job is to decide whom to believe. Based around dinner this is a very relaxed and fun filled evening in which to introduce clients or team build.
